Connect Paige to Xero
Three working paths from Paige into Xero: an automation on Zapier or Make that creates each bill from Paige's extracted fields and attaches the PDF; forwarding Paige's PDFs to Xero's bills email address so Xero drafts the bill; or Xero's CSV bill import for batches. Which to pick, what lands in Xero, and the step-by-step guides.
Paige reads the invoice — vendor, invoice number, dates, total — and Xero gets the bill, with the PDF attached, without anyone keying it in.
Xero has three ways in, and Paige's export can feed all of them.
What lands in Xero
| Zapier or Make | Email to Xero bills | CSV import | |
|---|---|---|---|
| A bill per invoice | Created within minutes, as a draft or awaiting approval, your choice | Xero creates a draft bill from the PDF using its own reading; Paige's values aren't sent, only the PDF | Draft bills created when you run the import, in batches |
| Contact, dates, reference, amount | From Paige's fields | Whatever Xero reads from the PDF — usually contact, dates, and total | From Paige's CSV columns via Xero's template |
| The PDF attached | Yes | Yes — it's how the bill was created | No — attach by hand or skip |
| Effort | Build once | Almost none | A few minutes per batch |
Pick a path
| Path | Choose it when | Guide |
|---|---|---|
| Zapier or Make | You want Paige's exact values on the bill and the PDF attached, automatically. Needs a paid Zapier or Make plan. | Send Paige invoices to Xero with Zapier or Make |
| Email to Xero bills | You mostly want the PDFs into Xero with minimal setup and you're happy with Xero's own reading of them (you still review every draft). Needs any tool that can email a file — the guide uses the same automation platforms, just one step. | Email Paige invoices to Xero bills |
| CSV import | You enter bills in batches and don't want a subscription; attaching PDFs by hand is acceptable. | Import Paige invoices into Xero from CSV |
Why pay Paige to read the invoice and then let Xero re-read it in the email path? Because Paige's reading — including handwritten and poor-quality documents — is what you review, and it's what goes to every other system. The email path is the low-effort way to also get the PDF into Xero. If you want Paige's values on the bill itself, use the Zapier or Make path.
