Connect Paige to Laserfiche
Two working paths from Paige into Laserfiche: a Power Automate flow that imports each finished document through the Laserfiche API with its template and fields filled from Paige's extracted values, or Import Agent watching a folder that Paige's export writes into. Which to pick, what lands in the repository, and the step-by-step guides.
Every document Paige finishes can land in your Laserfiche repository as a searchable PDF — in the folder you choose, with a template assigned and, if you use the Power Automate path, the template's fields filled from what Paige extracted.
Laserfiche reaches out to files in two ways. Import Agent watches a Windows folder and files whatever appears there, assigning a template and fixed values from its profile. The Laserfiche API accepts a document plus a JSON description of its template and field values, which is what an automation platform can send after reading Paige's data file. Paige's SFTP export feeds either.
What lands in Laserfiche
| Power Automate + API path | Import Agent path | |
|---|---|---|
| The searchable PDF | In the folder you choose, named from Paige's fields | In the profile's destination folder, named by the profile's naming rule |
| Template | Assigned | Assigned |
| Field values | Filled from Paige's field values, per document | Only what the profile sets for every document (fixed values and tokens like the file name) — Paige's per-document values are not read |
| Runs on | The cloud; nothing on-premises. Laserfiche Cloud only. | A Windows machine with Import Agent. Works with self-hosted Laserfiche and Laserfiche Cloud. |
Pick a path
| Path | Choose it when | Guide |
|---|---|---|
| Power Automate + Laserfiche API | You're on Laserfiche Cloud and want fields filled per document. Needs a Power Automate license with premium connectors (the SFTP - SSH and HTTP actions are premium). | Send Paige documents to Laserfiche with Power Automate |
| Import Agent | You run Laserfiche on your own servers, or you fill fields inside Laserfiche anyway (Quick Fields, Workflow, or people) and just need the PDFs to arrive filed and templated. | Export Paige documents to Laserfiche with Import Agent |
Both start the same way: Paige exports each finished document to an SFTP folder. Both guides include the Paige side.
