Keyboard shortcuts

Every keyboard shortcut in CapturePoint 6: confirm a document and open the next with Ctrl+Enter, move between pages and documents, start a new document at a page, zoom, and fix a typed value without reaching for the mouse.

Check a whole batch without reaching for the mouse: one key confirms a document and opens the next, and a few more move between pages, start new documents and fix values.

Press F1 (or ?) in any CapturePoint window to see the shortcuts that work there, on one sheet. Press F1 or Esc to close it.

Checking documents

PressTo
Ctrl+EnterConfirm & next: confirm the whole document and open the next one. If it's already confirmed, the button says Next and the key just moves on. Works from anywhere on the screen, even while you're typing in a field.
Ctrl+BStart a new document at the page you're on. On the first page of a document, it joins that document to the one before it instead.
RTurn page a quarter turn. Click the page first.
F6 or Shift+F6Go to the next or previous thing to check on this document, as clicking it does. Works from a field too.
Ctrl+ZUndo your last change, if it was a split, join or removed page. Right after Confirm & next, it goes Back to the document you just confirmed. It only ever undoes the very last thing: once that can't be undone, or after one press, it does nothing. In a box you're typing in, it undoes your typing as usual.
Note

Started a new document in the wrong place? Press Ctrl+Z straight away.

Typing values

PressTo
EnterSave what you typed and go to the next field. In a box with more than one line, such as an address, Enter starts a new line instead.
EscPut a field, or a line-items cell, back the way it was before you typed.
Enter or ↓ in a line-items cellSave the cell and go to the one below it.
Shift+Enter or ↑ in a line-items cellSave the cell and go to the one above it.
Alt+↑ or Alt+↓Move a field up or down the list, with its drag handle selected.

Moving around

PressTo
Ctrl+Page DownNext document. In Needs review and Teach it's Skip: the next document waiting there.
Ctrl+Page UpPrevious document.
Page Down or Page UpNext or previous page.
Ctrl+FFind words on this page. In the find box, Enter goes to the next match and Shift+Enter to the previous one. Esc closes the find box.
Ctrl+Shift+FSearch documents: every document, not just this page.
Ctrl+= or Ctrl+-Zoom in or out. You can also hold Ctrl and turn the mouse wheel over the page.
Ctrl+0Fit the whole page in view.
Ctrl+CCopy the words you selected on the page.
Note

Page Down, Page Up, Ctrl+B, R and the zoom keys wait while you're typing in a box. Click the page or the documents list first.

Everywhere

PressTo
F1 or ?Show the shortcut sheet. ? works when you're not typing in a box.
Ctrl+,Open Settings.
EscClose a window or a menu.
F2Rename a job: on its card in Scan jobs, or in the job switcher.
DeleteDelete a job: on its card in Scan jobs. CapturePoint asks before it deletes anything.
F11Turn full screen on or off.
Ctrl+MMinimize the window.
Ctrl+WClose the window you're in. Closing the main window closes CapturePoint.

In a window you moved

You can move the page, the fields or the line items into a window of their own with Move to another window, for example onto a second screen. There:

  • Every moved window takes Ctrl+Enter, Page Down, Page Up, Ctrl+Page Down and Ctrl+Page Up.
  • The page window also takes Ctrl+B, Ctrl+F, the zoom keys (or the mouse wheel on its own), Ctrl+0 and Ctrl+C.
  • The fields and line-items windows take the typing keys above.
  • Every moved window also takes F1 (or ?), which shows the keys that work in that window, and Ctrl+Z.
  • The page window's find box takes Enter and Shift+Enter too.
  • The fields window takes F6 and Shift+F6; the line-items window takes ↓ and ↑ in a cell.

A shortcut didn't work?

Click once on the page or the documents list, so CapturePoint has the keyboard rather than a box you were typing in, and try again. Still stuck? Contact Ademero support with the key you pressed, which window you were in, and your CapturePoint version from Settings › Updates.
